Please note that checks are not accepted.
-The client acknowledges that an additional 6.5% booking fee of the total that is separate from the 50% retainer fee will be applied to each invoice. This payment is designed to cover processing and administrative costs, ensuring compensation for all parties involved in the event of a cancellation and is nonrefundable.
- The mileage cost specified on the price quote or invoice is subject to increase based on the number of artists required on the event day. The mileage price indicated on the price quote/invoice is applicable per artist.
-Should the client(s) fail to submit the remaining 50% of the payment for services one month before the day of the scheduled services, a late fee of $5 per day will be applied to the invoice.
-The client acknowledges that any additional expenses incurred during the artist's travel to the location, such as parking fees, ferry costs, etc., will be included in the total service cost.
-Travel time for mileage is calculated based on the total duration of travel to and from the service location from our studio (1111 Godfrey ave Grand Rapids) Travel is billed at $1 per mile, with a minimum charge of $15 per artist.
-Final payment is due no later than 30 days before the event date. Failure to pay on time may result in additional fees or cancellation of services without refund of any previously paid amounts. Services will not be rendered unless payment is made in full.
ADDITONAL FEES MAY APPLY
-The client acknowledges that if the address for the getting ready location on the event day differs from what is specified in the final questionnaire (questionnaire due 30 days before the event) and is only communicated on the day of the event, an additional fee of $25 per artist will be charged for the inconvenience.
-The client acknowledges that if the timeline for the day of the event day differs from what is specified in the final questionnaire (questionnaire due 30 days before the event) at anytime before the event, an additional fee of $25 will be charged for the inconvenience.
-The client agrees that every member of their party will arrive with clean and dry hair and a clean face on the day of services. Failure to do so may result in additional time and payment. $10-$60 to dry hair and $20 for makeup removal.
-The client is aware that the hair stylist and makeup artist will remain on site for 15 minutes after completing their services for any necessary touch-ups or adjustments. If the client requests the artist(s) to stay beyond this period, a waiting fee of $25 will be applied for every additional 10 minutes.
- The client acknowledges and agrees that punctuality is essential, and each client in their party must be present at the designated location on time. A 10-minute grace period is provided for the day of the event, after which Blush Beauty reserves the right to impose a $25 late fee for each subsequent 10-minute period. If the client has not arrived within 30 minutes, the Blush Beauty team may depart, and full payment will still be required.
-If only one artist is booked to provide both hair and makeup services, a $50 Solo Artist Kit & Time Fee will be added to the final total. This fee covers the additional products, tools, and time required when a single artist is responsible for completing both services.
-If the client requests that an artist relocate to a different site, room, or location after services have begun — requiring the artist to pack up and reset their kit — a $75 Relocation Fee per kit will apply. Additional travel fees may also be charged if the new location involves further travel beyond the original agreed-upon site.
-For any on-site services where the location is more than 2 hours (one way) from our studio, a flat travel fee of $350 per artist will be added. This fee accounts for extended travel, early call times, late returns, schedule disruptions, and the need to potentially secure lodging. This fee is not contingent on whether a hotel is booked and is paid at the discretion of the artist to ensure rest, safety, and readiness for the event.
-Any requests for additional coverage — including but not limited to bruises, tattoos, sunburn, or other skin concerns requiring extra time, product, or corrective techniques — will incur an Additional Coverage Fee, starting at $20 going up to $150, depending on the extent of the coverage needed. This fee will be assessed at the artist’s discretion on the day of service.
-The client acknowledges and accepts that for appointments with a start time of 7:30 am (or earlier) or requires our artists to leave the studio at or prior to 7:30 am , a lodging fee and/or an early morning fee of $50 per hour may be applicable.
-The client acknowledges that there is a minimum requirement of 5 services per event per artist or a total of $915, applicable on Saturdays from May to November. Failure to meet the 4-service minimum will result in additional artist fees, amounting to $140 per missing person. (Junior, pixie services, travel or any other add ons do not count towards the service minimum)
-The client acknowledges that any additional expenses incurred during the day, such as add-ons, extra personnel, late fees, parking fees, etc., will either be collected from the artist on the day of services or invoiced, with payment due within 48 hours of the completion of services or a $5 daily late fee will occur.
-If the client or anyone in their party breaks, destroys, or uses any of the hair or makeup artist's items, they will be responsible for paying the full cost of those items. An invoice will be sent after the service.
-If the client requests an artist to stay on location for touch-ups or additional services after the initial service window is completed (beyond the 15-minute window), additional time will be billed as follows: $130 per hour, or $400 for a 4-hour half-day, per artist. Full-day rates available upon request.
-The client understands If the minimum workspace requirement of 5 feet per artist is not provided, a Tight Closure Fee of $25 per artist may be added to the final invoice due to increased difficulty and restricted working conditions.
-Client acknowledges and agrees that if elevator access is not available at the event location and the artist(s) are required to transport equipment or kits via stairs, a Stair Access Fee will apply. This fee is due to the additional time, labor, and inconvenience required to carry materials. A charge of $10 per kit will be applied for every 15 steps that must be climbed. This fee will be added to the final invoice and must be paid in full.
-Client agrees that if artist(s) are required to walk more than 0.25 miles (approximately a 5-minute walk one way) to access the venue, provide touch-ups, or move between locations on-site, a Walking Fee will apply. This fee compensates for the extra time, physical strain, and interruption to the artist’s workflow. The fee is charged at $1 per minute of walking time beyond the initial 5 minutes, and will be added to the final invoice. This includes situations such as: Distant parking areas, Remote or spread-out venues (e.g., large estates, film sets, or multi-building campuses), On-foot travel to perform touch-ups away from the main setup location
-Client understands that if unforeseen events such as construction, road closures, parades, protests, or other disruptions cause significant delays, rerouting, or excessive travel time for the artist(s), an additional fee will apply. This fee covers the artist’s lost time, additional mileage, and inconvenience, and will be charged at $1 per minute of delay beyond the original estimated travel time. Client is responsible for informing the artist(s) in advance of any known access issues, detours, or events that may affect travel to the location. Failure to do so may result in added charges.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
-Should the client request an additional trial (re-trial) for hair and/or makeup after the initial trial, this will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A follow-up will be conducted after the initial trial to discuss the client's experience and determine whether a re-trial is necessary. If a re-trial is agreed upon, any associated costs (if applicable) will be communicated and confirmed in writing prior to scheduling.
- Blush Beauty assumes no responsibility for any allergic reactions or outbreaks resulting from makeup application or hair styling services. It is imperative to disclose any allergies to both the service provider and your stylist before the commencement of services.
-Additional clients and services can be added at any time or on the day of services but are not guaranteed.
- The client grants Blush Beauty permission to use any photos or videos captured by the Blush Beauty team or shared by the client or their photographer for marketing purposes, unless the client explicitly opts out.
-Anyone aged 12 or younger receiving makeup or hair services must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must remain within 3 feet of the child at all times. The artist reserves the right to cancel services if the child is left unattended.
-The client understands that all day-of timelines are based on estimates. Our artists may take more or less time to complete the services.
-The client is solely responsible for all payments associated with the services outlined herein. Invoices will only be issued to, and accepted from, the client. The client also accepts full financial responsibility for all services provided to members of their party on the event day. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure all balances are paid in full, regardless of individual arrangements within the group.
-The client understands and agrees that each hair or makeup service requires approximately 45 minutes per bridesmaid or special occasion guest, 1 hour per bridal services, and 30 minutes for junior services. A 15-minute window is requested at the end of services for final touch-ups; however, this is not mandatory and will be accommodated based on the overall schedule and timing availability. The schedule provided by Blush Beauty is a flexible, conceptual timeline based on estimated service durations. While we build in adequate time for each client, actual service times may vary depending on individual preferences, hair/skin type, and desired style. As such, timelines serve as a general guide—not a precise schedule. Because the pace of the day can shift, especially during weddings or time-sensitive events, all clients must be on-site and ready when the artists arrive, regardless of their originally scheduled time. Once an artist is ready to begin, the next client must be in the chair within 15 minutes. If no client is available within that window, a Late Occupancy Fee of will be applied.
-The client agrees to provide a safe, clean, and temperature-controlled environment for services if requesting the artist to travel to them. Blush Beauty artists reserves the right to refuse services if the environment is deemed unsafe or unsanitary (e.g., outdoor setups without shade/AC, extreme heat, wind, or unsanitary conditions), with no refunds provided.
-For the safety, comfort, and professional performance of all artists, each artist must be provided with a minimum clear working area of 5 feet. This space must be unobstructed and adequately lit to allow the artist to perform their duties effectively. Failure to meet this requirement may result in additional charges referred to as "Tight Closure Fees", due to the added difficulty of working in restricted conditions. In extreme cases where the workspace is deemed unsafe or unworkable, the artist(s) reserve the right to decline to perform without penalty, and no refunds will be issued. It is the responsibility of the client or event organizer to ensure these space requirements are met prior to the start of the event.
-For best results, natural indirect lighting is ideal for the artists to perform their services accurately and efficiently. Overly harsh lighting (such as direct sunlight or strong spotlights) or insufficient lighting (such as dim or unevenly lit areas) may negatively impact the quality and accuracy of the work, including color matching and detail visibility. The client is responsible for ensuring that the designated work area is well-lit with balanced, non-glaring light.
-For the safety and comfort of our Hair and Makeup Artists (H/MUAs), flash photography is strictly prohibited while artists are actively working. Sudden, bright flashes can be distracting and may temporarily impair the artists’ vision, increasing the risk of mistakes or injury. If photos with flash are desired, they must be staged and taken after services are completed, at a time that does not interfere with the artist’s work. Non-flash photography is permitted during services as long as it does not obstruct the artist’s space or workflow. The client is responsible for ensuring that all guests and photographers are aware of and comply with this policy.
-Client understands that any touch-ups or reapplications of hair or makeup required due to client error or environmental factors—such as crying, eating, laying down, or exposure to humidity—will result in an additional charge, to be determined based on the time and materials needed.
-If the client or any of the client’s guests damage or ruin any items in the studio, the client will be held fully financially responsible for repair or replacement costs.
-While our artists make every effort to arrive on time, minor delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic, weather, road closures, etc.) may occasionally occur. If an artist is running late but can still complete the agreed-upon services within a reasonable timeframe, the client agrees that services will continue as scheduled and no refunds, discounts, or penalties will be issued. A delay does not constitute grounds for cancellation unless the artist is unable to perform the service altogether.
HEALTH, PERSONAL HYGEINE & SAFTEY
-The client, along with all members of their party, agree to arrive prepared for hair and makeup services by adhering to the following guidelines: Ensuring a clean face that is entirely free of makeup and sunscreen (lotions and serums are acceptable), and arriving with clean, dry hair (washed within 2 days of service - ideally 1 day or day before) that is devoid of products. The HMUA retains the right to decline service and charge the client in full and/or impose additional fees.
-Any client exhibiting symptoms of illness, head lice, styes, open sores on their face or head, pink eye, etc., will be denied service and may potentially be charged in full.
-To maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment, all personal grooming activities—including but not limited to tweezing, nail clipping, hair cutting, nail filing, or similar grooming—must be conducted at least 10 feet away from any artist's setup or work area. Due to health, hygiene, and safety concerns, the artist(s) reserving the right to stop services or leave the event without refund if conditions are deemed unsanitary or unsafe.
-The client understands that the artist(s) will not set up or work in any room with a toilet. This policy helps maintain the cleanliness of our kit throughout the appointment.
-The client acknowledges that the artist(s) will not be removing their shoes upon arrival at any location.
-Client agrees to provide a suitable working environment for the artist(s). The temperature at the work location must be maintained between 60°F and 85°F. If the temperature falls outside of this range and suitable adjustments are not made, the artist(s) reserve the right to pause or cancel services without refund, as extreme conditions can impact performance, safety, and product quality.
-For safety reasons, artist(s) will not carry kits or equipment up spiral staircases. If only spiral stair access is available, the client must provide an alternate, safe route or work space.
-Blush Beauty follows all industry-standard sanitation protocols. All brushes, tools, and products are cleaned and sanitized between each use. Disposable applicators are used whenever possible.
CANCELLATION
- The Parties agree that if the Client cancels this Agreement or makes any changes prior to the event at anytime, he/she will not be given a refund/credit of their 50% retainer fee or 6.5% booking fee.
-The health and well-being of our artists are a top priority. If an artist is feeling unwell or unable to perform services safely or effectively, it is at the artist’s sole discretion to determine whether they are fit to work. If the artist deems themselves able to proceed, services will continue as planned. However, if the client chooses to refuse service despite the artist's clearance, this will be treated as a same-day client cancellation, and no refunds or credits will be issued.
- The Parties agree that in case Blush Beauty cancels this Agreement, they will be required to provide a suitable replacement that the Client consents to or provide a full refund to the client.
-Any cancellations or modifications to an appointment following the submission of the appointment questionnaire (due 30 days prior to the event date) will still necessitate payment in full.
-If a client or any member of the party is more than 15 minutes late to their scheduled service without notice, that service may be shortened or canceled at the artist’s discretion, with no refund or credit provided. Timely arrivals are essential to maintaining schedule for all booked clients.
-In the event that any client causes excessive issues or makes the artists feel unsafe, uncomfortable, in danger, or threatened, the service provider and artists reserve the right to terminate services immediately. No refund will be issued, and charges for the remaining services will be applied in full.
-Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Agreement due to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events beyond reasonable control. In such cases, all efforts will be made to reschedule services or apply credits when appropriate, but refunds are not guaranteed.
Arbitration Clause
-Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, including the breach, termination, or validity thereof, shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by [Arbitration Organization, e.g., the American Arbitration Association] in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in Grand Rapids, MI, by a single arbitrator. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Each party shall bear its own costs and expenses and an equal share of the arbitrator’s and administrative fees, unless the arbitrator determines otherwise. This clause shall not preclude parties from seeking provisional remedies in aid of arbitration from a court of appropriate jurisdiction.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
-This Agreement constitutes the complete and entire understanding between the Parties regarding its subject matter and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings, inducements, and conditions, whether express or implied, oral or written. The explicit terms of this Agreement override any previous performance or trade practices that conflict with its terms. In the event that any policies outlined in this Agreement are violated, the artist(s) and/or client reserve the right to deny or discontinue services without refund or penalty.
AMENDMENTS
- The Parties agree that any amendments made to this Agreement must be in writing where they must be signed by both Parties to this Agreement.
- As such, any amendments made by the Parties will be applied to this Agreement.
